Dosage of Chemical Additives

Dosing systems are applications that add the corresponding chemical additive to water to obtain a desired property. Chlorination of drinking water, regulation of the pH of the solution or disinfection with liquid Chlorine Dioxide are examples of dosing systems. We have dosing pumps of smart technological design that achieve maximum dosing accuracy.

The most common case of dosing is water chlorination, where liquid chlorine (sodium hypochlorite) is added to the water for disinfection. Chlorinations based on the operation of the dosing pump are divided into:

Chronicles. Simple applications in which the operating parameters are constant, a certain amount of Chlorine is required for a certain time and there are no high accuracy requirements of the final result.

Pulses. Complex applications where the dosing amount of chlorine is proportional to the water supply that passes through the network-piping and is determined by a pulse flow meter. Although only the required amount of chlorine is injected depending on the flow, the maximum degree of accuracy of the final result is not ensured due to the changing conditions.

Complete. A microprocessor control unit measures the concentration of chlorine in the tank and depending on the preset the dosing pump is instructed to dose or stop. It is a complete system with high accuracy requirements due to the perfectly controlled mode of operation and ensuring the desired concentration of Chlorine.
